G22 0 Posted October 28, 2008 Looking for opinions between the two for home use. Does this particular Storesafe require 5400rpm HD's? Also, what about upgrading the HD on the Storesafe... I recall something about losing software on the HD? Thx.
blowrabbit 0 Posted October 28, 2008 easy as pie to swap out hdds on the ge ... also takes 7500 rpm drives as long as they are not sata drives. just got to download the ge wavereader software. I have put in 2/ 500gb and 2/750 gb hdds.... just use the best seagate drives.
aaarneson 0 Posted October 30, 2008 I have noticed most EB1304Net models are not sold with a Hard Drive. What specs NEED to be involved when shopping for a Hard Drive for this unit?
G22 0 Posted November 9, 2008 Thx. Any other pros/cons between the two?
WSLCB_Tim 0 Posted November 25, 2008 We have about 175 deployed. Half 4 cam/Half 10 cam. We've had four years of up-time, and only a few hard-drive failures. Easy to replace the drives, you just need to make sure the QuickWave files are written to the new drive to enable CD copies.
