Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

I m in a big trouble here, installed 4 cams and a DVR Card KMC4400R. Got a very nice view in my main computer which is connected directly to my cams, but can't see it remotely. hired 2 peeps to fix it but they couldn't, paid them by hour but no use, can't even see the image on LAN, just the main server is working fine and recording well.

Any help will be very appreciated.

thanks in Advance

Hey Raaj1970

I don't think we have the same system, but I had a similar problem and I contacted the company. They provided me with a Service Pack Update and it's worked well for me. Also, If you are using IE, then make sure that you download the ActiveX file which pops up when you load the remote view page. The pop-up might be blocked by a pop-up blocker.

This is my best guess from what I have been through.

Good Luck!

Well, I did have a similar problem, when I tried to view the cameras using IE, i would see four blue boxes. So, try contacting the company for a Service Pack, if you have a legit, or try looking for the SP from wherever u got the program from. I contacted the company since mine was legit. Also, I doubt we have the same software.... mine is from UCL Technologies in Toronto. It's the PICO 2000 Premium, so i don't think i can walk you through the program settings.

Anyhow, when u tried logging into ur remote view, did u see a pop-up blocked? If you did, then you have to allow the pop-up and download the active X file. Also, did u add the site to the safe list on IE? If you haven't, then open IE, on the Toolbar, click on "Tools", then go to Internet Options. Then go to the "Security" Tab, then go to "Trusted Sites", un-check "Require server verification........this zone" and add the address of your remote viewer.

Oh! Sorry!

So u need to do port forwarding.... well, I am not sure if the ports I enabled are default or specific to my program, but I am going to guess that it is generic. You will need to forward the following:

Server Name Port Number

1 Video Server 1999

2 PTZ Server 16781

3 Remote Configuration Relay Server 10327

4 Remote Playback Server 10328

5 Remote Search Server (for playback) 10330

6 Motion Search Server (for playback) 10400

7 Chat Server 5001

8 Audio Server 5002

9 DSR HTTP Server 8080 (default)

10 Alarm Alert Receiver 9002

11 X10 Aux Control Server 5999

12 Vanguard Server 10340

13 POS Server 10350

14 PA Server 5004

For your convenience, I have attaced a screenshot of how I have my Port Forwading set up.... I use a Linksys. If you need help w/ port forwarding, then either look up the user manual or just google it online.

I am guessing you know which address to log into for remote viewing... I can't help you w/ that, as they usually have their own ways of doing so... you should be able to pull something up in the help menu of ur program!

Let me know if it helps!

Cheers!
