coldr3ality 0 Posted November 17, 2008 I have a question for someone with knowledge of electronics and old CCTV cameras. I have a B/W analog CCTV camera, but I have no CCTV monitor for it. Judging by what I've googled it's feasible to view the signal with a VGA computer monitor. It seems to me, that if I connect the camera's video pin to green and the horizontal/vertical sync pins, it should light up. Have you done this or heard of someone doing this before? I only want to test this camera because it has an enormous lens pack on it. (Enormous=7" long x 52mm). I actually want to test the lens pack. Thanks one and all. scorpion 0 Posted November 17, 2008 Can you tell us what camera it is?
Kiwi 0 Posted November 17, 2008 Well, google told you wrong! Why not just use the composite input on a TV set?
coldr3ality 0 Posted November 26, 2008 scorpion - I can't tell what model it is anymore, because I lost the friggin cover between now and last year; I'm an ideot. kiwi - This camera has a 5-pin din connector in back, though the pcb clearly marks two of the wires 'ground' and 'video'. I will try connecting composite video.
