Sony FCB-EX780S focus problem

I just replaced a bad outdoor camera with one that had been in storage for a while. It is a Sony FCT-EX780S camera. It is doing the tour the way it is supposed to, but the picture is badly out of focus. There is no focus ring on it, the WaveReader software used to view it has focus controls, but they do not seem to work. I am using WaveReader Version 4.2.47. I tried pushing the WIDE and TELE buttons on the side of the camera, that didn't do anything.

I am new to cameras, so any suggestions would be appreciated. I have searched this site for FCB with no luck, and have been unable to find a manual for the camera online.
