CERT808 0 Posted November 21, 2008 Is there a way that I can upgrade my Intellex units from version 3.something to the newest version of 4.something?
CCTV_Suppliers 0 Posted November 21, 2008 Yes, you need the upgrade software with this part number: RDVUPG40... It should cost less than $500.00... very easy to install...

CCTV_Suppliers 0 Posted December 31, 2008 wont you need to updgrade the operating software also, making it expensive and uneeded? Going from Intellex 3.x to 4.x includes the upgrade of the Win2000 to WinXP and all the necessary drives, tricks and registry changes to make the transition flawless. The main concern by many is that they already paid license for Win2000 and why should they pat for WinXP... but welcome to corporate America's way of doing business... You can not just upgrade the OS and expect the Intellex to perform. In little more detail format - Intellex 3.x complies with Intellex 3.x API, which is different than Intellex 4.x API... thus there will be many drives and software conflict and it will not work. The upgrade kit, as expensive as it may seem, does deliver the complete software upgrade and it does work. When such upgrade is complete, then there is yet another step necessary to render Intellex functional - you will need yet another license key for the Intellex available on American Dynamic's website. All it requires is the MAC address of your older system the serial number and then it will provide another software key for Intellex operating as version 4.x.. Here is the url where all their upgrades are: http://americandynamics.net/support/support_softreg_redirect.aspx
