theodotcom 0 Posted December 4, 2008 Hi Is there anyway to convert a BNC Camera to work via IP as well. Thanks for any advice
InNorthernWeTrust 0 Posted December 5, 2008 www.acti.com www.axis.com and many more. I'm a big fan of ACTi. You get alot of bang for your buck. Take a look at the ACD2100 single channel encoder. It also has an looping output so you can keep it running into your analog system.
theodotcom 0 Posted December 5, 2008 thanks for the advice, what is the cheapest way to do this, its a 16 camera system and need to keep the cost as low as possible, but do need it connected to analogue system as well as ip. thanks
InNorthernWeTrust 0 Posted December 5, 2008 Most cost effective way would be to bring it into a distribution amp like the GE KTS-250-16(16 1x4 distribution amp) and run it into the ACTi ACD2400(16ch encoder). Or put 16 ACD2100's in a RMK2000 rack kit. That gets pretty expensive, though alot cheaper than most others out there. ACTi also offers a free 16ch recording software - which though basic is much more robust than other free softwares I've seen.
Privatteer 0 Posted August 16, 2009 Most digital video recorders support IP access either via software or a web browser. The better quality ones all have loop through terminals as well. Depending on why you want to go IP why not get a hybrid similar to below. http://www.exacq.com/products/2u_hybrid_server.html There is plenty of other brands can use as well. bialy100k 0 Posted September 16, 2015 Can you suggest any new, cheap product capable to convert analog signal from old camera (Panasonic WV-CL830) to IP signal? Or just bin it and buy proper IP camera instead?
MaxIcon 0 Posted September 16, 2015 Grandstream makes a 4 channel encoder for $100: http://www.amazon.com/Grandstream-GXV3504-IP-Video-Encoder/dp/B0027GL8P6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1442433823&sr=8-2&keywords=grandstream+encoder I don't have any experience with them, but you can search for reviews. Another option would be buying a hybrid NVR, but that will be pricey for 16 channels. For a single camera, best bet is to buy a new IP cam.
bialy100k 0 Posted September 17, 2015 Yeah, not worth to buy for old, spare camera I have. Thanks for help - now I know have to forget this solution.
