Bean 0 Posted December 6, 2008 I have an Everfocus EDR400 with a DiamondMax16 80GB ATA133 harddrive. It has 5400 rpm and 2 mb buffer. I want to put a bigger one in. Do I need to stay with 5400 rpm and 2 mb buffer? I found a Hitachi that is 750mb but has 7200 rpm and larger buffer. I have found some refurb 320 GB 5400,2mb hd's. bob332 0 Posted December 7, 2008 i would d/l and read the manual. seems that some dvrs can only handle up to certain size drive. i have a edsr1600 and in the manual it says it can handle up to a 320GB drive, but doesn't mention speed or buffer, which really shouldn't matter if you are putting in at least what is in it already speed wise.
