sacedog 0 Posted December 9, 2008 I'm not sure if the Sprite hard drive replacement is the same as the Eco 4, but I replaced the drive in an Eco 4 for my father-in-law, and it was VERY easy. I wrote up the instructions over at Cocoontech. (new user, and I can't post a link yet). Just do a search for Eco4, and you should find the step-by-step as the 2nd one down in the search results. fcaw11 0 Posted December 9, 2008 Which model DM Sprite? You may have to open the case to see which motherboard it has.

fcaw11 0 Posted December 10, 2008 You own a Dedicated Micros Digital Sprite 9ch 2x75GB. I've replaced hard drives in D4 & DS2A. The software available on Dedicated Micros' UK site. http://www.dedicatedmicros.com/software_release/index_firmware.php I think the software for the DX09C is DS. The version for download is 2.0(021). ysaga 0 Posted December 11, 2008 Can you post step by step (stupid proof ) how to formated the drive and install the operating system and firmware,I have xp on my pc
fcaw11 0 Posted December 11, 2008 To upload the software to a new hard drive the DVR must be connected to a switch/router. You must know the IP address of the Digital Sprite. Consult the manual if you don't know. The menu for the DS seems similar to the new DS2A. Do a search "Dedicated Micros hard drive" in this forum.
