EPA570 0 Posted December 10, 2008 hi everyone. Not sure if I can ask all this in here and if not im sorry. Basicly I am looking to but a cctv in my grandmas house as we are going to have to hire a care giver and I want to know if anything is stolen etc..... Here is what I am looking for: Basicly suggestions on the products I should use. I want hidden wired cameras in 4 rooms . I am hoping I can get ir cameras that are hidden or at least ones that are good with minimal light. I am going to have a dedicated computer using a dvr card so i can view from my house and would like to know which is the better brand to be looking or what I should be looking at be able to remotely view over the internet. Geovision? Will a dsl line be ok speed to do this. I assume higher the speed the better. Budget is up too $2000 but lower the better of course but I am willing spend the money to get something that is reliable and lasting. Thanks everyone for you help. scorpion 0 Posted December 10, 2008 This would be the camera that I would prefer. http://eclipsecctv.com/ECL-CPIR_hidden_camera.html or this one http://eclipsecctv.com/ECL-CPIRD_hidden_camera.html I do not do PC based DVRs so I will have to defer to others who do. I prefer Stand Alone DVRs in budget is of the essence design.
InNorthernWeTrust 0 Posted December 10, 2008 www.sperrywest.com Has a very wide selection of covert cameras. as far as the DVR goes, nearly all embedded dvrs these days are viewable via the web. And a cheap embedded 4-ch dvr isn't a whole lot more than a DVR card - once you add the PC it tends to be more expensive to use a card. Find out your upload speed. DSL isn't bad, but your upload speed is whats important.
