resqinc 0 Posted January 12, 2009 I have two 964's and three 550s that I have been trying to find a DVR that can record and control both cameras. Have tried a Dibos and Pelco hybrid systems from two dif. suppliers that CLAIMed these dvrs would work. Have gone round and round with both Panasonic and Pelco trying to make either or ANY dvr work. Now have a 3+ thousand dollar paper weight. Is there anyone on this board that can tell me what will actually work? Thanks
securitymonster 0 Posted January 12, 2009 You could always encode the Panasonic DVR using a WJ-NT304 and bring the video to an ONSSI NVR. ONSSI supports the RX550 and the NT304 encoder. www.onssi.com
Soundy 1 Posted January 12, 2009 Hmm, my Vigil system lists Sony and Panasonic network cameras in the setup... it doesn't have that specific Panasonic model listed, but you could check with 3xLogic; if they don't have it, it probably wouldn't take much to have it added. resqinc 0 Posted January 14, 2009 Thanks for the replies I am looking into both options. Would any know if the Panasonic 964's can take a Pelco D or C protocols as I have not been able to get an answer from the Panasonic reps?
Soundy 1 Posted January 14, 2009 Does the 964 have serial (RS-232/422/485) connectors? If not, I'd expect it doesn't support Pelco D/P.
