Hello all, I am very new to CCTV but I have been reading up and I have bought several items for my first setup for my home. Here is what I have:

1) Integral Pelco DVX-500 DVR 9 Channel 500GB Also have 2 Pelco DX7016's but I am using the DVX500 for the time being.

1) Altronix ALTV2416300UL3 Power Supply

3) Pelco ICS200 Camclosuers

2) Pelco IS110-CHV9 Domes

1) Pelco IS100 Dome

1) Pelco G3512-2KHV3AK imagepak

1) Everfocus EHD350 Dome

1) Bosch 9449/20CH-38 Dome (Indoor)

1) Cove EVQ1000 HD Camera

4) Silent Witness indoor domes (12v)

1) Pelco Spectra 2 PTZ (Not using this one yet)

Here is the problem, I can't get 2 cameras to work. They are the Pelco ICS200, and Pelco IS100. They are getting power as the heaters get toasty, but my dvr won't see them. I tried swapping coax cables from the other cameras that work and still nothing. I checked power at the camera's and it is showing 26.2vac with my fluke. These are all 24v cameras and the PS is a 24 / 28 vac unit. I am a little confused as why I am getting a reading of 26.2 but again I am new to this and maybe this is normal, maybe not. All cameras are within 200 feet of the DVR and PS. All have 18/2 power cables run to them. All have new RG59 cable. Yes cameras are set for AC power. Is there anything I can check next? I am having a hard time believing both cameras are bad, I know it is possible, but that seems odd. I am sure I am doing something wrong, just not sure what it is.

Thanks for any help you may have on this.

Bryan

I assume you have checked the video connector on the PCB. If you are using a auto-iris lens check the switch settings.

Are you using the correct jumper? I believe those cameras have separate jumpers for 12VDC and 24VAC.

Yeah it is set at 24vac, They where changed before I did anything with them as they come set at 12vdc.

I know this is a camera issue, as today I got 4 more (new) cameras in and I used the existing power and video cables and they are all good. So the problem lies with the 2 camera's.

Ted mentioned the switch settings for the auto iris lens. I know one has this for sure, the other I will go check. I will report back and see what I can find.

I sure hope the camera's aren't bad.

Thanks for the info.
