tahoe132 0 Posted January 26, 2009 Hey Guys and Girls... I replaced the fan on an older PTZ this morning because it was running hot and smelled horrible. (it was still functioning normally though) Anyways, when I went to put it back up, it will not work.... It is a speed dome on a coax system. When it comes on, the fan turns on, and then it pans up as normal, goes around and the video shows up. Then it points straight down. Instead of coming back up, it just stops and the video goes out. After a few moments, it will go all the way up where you cannot see the Irus anymore, and it just pans right about an inch every approximately 30 seconds. Any ideas?? Suggestions?? Advise???? Anything??? Thanks!!!!
alanjh1965 0 Posted January 26, 2009 Check the addressing of the Dome, sometimes it is easy to knock the address switches to a different number when fixing the dome to the base! Good Luck!

Yeah I tried that... I even tried placing the dome in a different mount, and it still does the same thing.
survtech 0 Posted January 27, 2009 I suggest temporarily disconnecting the new fan and try it again. At the least, make certain the new fan has the same specs as the old one, especially voltage and current draw.
