moi 0 Posted January 31, 2009 Hi, Am planning to purchase a GV-800 to use in my home PC which I plan to double as a HTPC (home-theater PC). It should be compatible based on Geovision's website (Intel P965 chipset, Nvidia 7600GT gfx). Can anyone advise if the Geovision codecs (eg the H264) can live harmoniously with the typical PC codecs (eg. ffdshow, CoreAVC, and the likes) ? Essentially there will be 7 analog cameras attached to the GV-800. As this is for my home security I do not plan to capture any sound, only video. Also, as the GV-800 is software based compression how much CPU utilisation would it typically take on an Intel Core 2 Duo? Thanks. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
