oobadooba 0 Posted February 2, 2009 4 cctv monitors have just come into my possesion, along with a Everfocus EDSR1600. I'll be using all this to record footage in my Halloween haunt. Meanwhile, I'd like to use the monitors to watch TeeVee. 3 Tatungs and a Checkpoint monitor all with BNC av1 and av2 inputs. I used a BNC to coax adapter to input signal from the cable box (I have Comcast digital cable in No. California-Chico). I get "No Signal". The big Tatung also has the switch for av or 75 ohm, I tried both ways but nothing. What do I need between the cable box and the monitor to recieve tv pictures? Please and thank you. survtech 0 Posted February 2, 2009 Nothing, if you attach the composite out from the cable box to the video or composite in on the monitor. You can also use the S-Video if both the cable box and the monitor have them. What do you mean by "bnc to coax adapter"? If you mean bnc-to-f, that won't work. You need to use the video signal, not the RF. Use a bnc-to-RCA cable or connector from the composite video (yellow) out of the cable box to an input on the monitor. kensplace 0 Posted February 2, 2009 Do the monitors support sound? CCTV monitors dont always have sound...
