Software Help / General Help

Recommended Posts

From what I have gathered so far from google and browsing these forums, DVR CCTV systems are a minefield... any help would be greatly appreciated.

I want to know what the best software is for my needs:

1) I need software that will be able to start/record when the computer starts

2) Able to support up to 4 cameras, I will maybe add more in the future

3) Be able to monitor cameras over the internet FireFox / iPhone browsers

4) Have a non-tacky user interface

5) within a budget of £80 - £150 GBP

What is the best DVR card for my needs?

1) I need a clear 30fps on all cameras

2) 640 x 480 on all cameras

3) Reliable

4) No budget, I don't know how much I should spend (please advise)

If anyone could suggest some good quality 640 x 480 cameras that would be great, One camera will be facing down a 20MPH - 35MPH road. I will need to be able to read clear number plates with that camera.

The system I will be using is:

Athlon X2 2.6GHz Dual Core

Nforce 4 Motherboard

2GB RAM

2x 1TB WD HDDs in RAID -0

As I said, any help would be fantastic...

Cheers, Jack
