We presently have a portable surveillance system we use in our apartment properties to monitor suspicious activity by using vacant apartments. What we now have are two ACTi 1231 cameras with POE concealed in large flower pots which are placed on balconies. What we are looking for is a good quality IP camera with PTZ, and low light capabilities which can be used outdoors. This camera should have good zoom capabilities and the smaller the better but we know this camera will be harder to conceal. thewireguys 3 Posted February 11, 2009 We like Axis products and the 233d is one of the best IP PTZs on the market. It does needs to be installed in a housing to be used outside but so does every PTZ that I know of.
