maxinspain 0 Posted February 16, 2009 I have an Intellinet Network IP (550710) outdoor camera which i'm using as a webcam. (nice picture of the beach here in Spain) It's on my balcony so I have easy access to it. The output goes via an ethernet cable to my static IP modem thence the signal is passed to Intellinet. I'd like to be able to put text on the image. I've spent time searching here but found nothing that seems to meet the requirement. Intellinet don't seem to be of much help. Could any kind soul suggest how I might do this? Thanks.
thewireguys 3 Posted February 17, 2009 I have never used an Intellinet camera but I have used Axis cameras and they have a "Image overlay" option. See if there is something like this in Intellinet camera.
loop 0 Posted February 17, 2009 try: http://blueirissoftware.com/ It supports text overlay.
maxinspain 0 Posted February 18, 2009 Thanks for those suggestions. I think i'll look at replacing the camera with something that I can write to directly. The "via software" option is also possible but means a lot of brain work and my brain is a bit old (yeah, okay i'm lazy - and dumb)...ill let you know how I get on. Meanwhile any other suggestions welcome.
loop 0 Posted February 18, 2009 Another idea is "via microcalligraphy" - hire the services of a microcalligraphy artist (like those who write on rice) to overlay the mirrored text on the lens. I'm quite positive it will not put much strain on your brain
maxinspain 0 Posted February 18, 2009 Not a bad idea. While he's at it he can put the wife's birthdate and our anniversary on the inside of my specs. Save me the twice yearly last minute panic!
