Sinkie 0 Posted February 18, 2009 Hi guys, I'm new here and I need a little help I'm intending to buy a Louroe Verifact E and connect it to my DVR directly, but I'm not too sure how to do it. From my DVR, I have the red and black terminals corresponding to the power and audio output respectively, but where does the bare terminal on the microphone connect to ? Thanks ! scorpion 0 Posted February 18, 2009 http://www.louroe.com/kits.asp?model=ask4kit101 You need the base station to go with the microphone. The base station has a speaker so that you can listen in locally, and there are RCA outputs on the base station that plug in to the DVR. If the base station is far away then use RG59 copper center to feed audio to the DVR. You can use BNC to RCA adapters.
rory 0 Posted March 1, 2009 ive used them without the base station in the past. Dont recall the exact colors but from the PDF. Red is positive from 12v power supply, Bare is negative from 12v power supply, Black is audio. I have used either the 12vDC plug in power supplies or one of the 12vDC outputs from a distributed cctv power supply. Then for example, using an RCA cable from the DVR audio input, splice the other end, braid to 12vDC negative or bare wire on mic (this may differ as its been a while since I did this, test with and without), center to black on mic (audio). Ive used 2 pair Telco wire for them also, such as used with Burglar alarms. install info: http://www.louroe.com/instructions/emic.pdf
