EDR400 Everfocus can not boot system???

Recommended Posts

Hi friends,

I have this DVR in factory I am working. The problems starts after power failure ( an electrolyte was damaged into power supply) and system was many times shut off and powered on during night.

Now, I have this situation, the compact flash Apacher 64Mb is damaged, I can not read it, format or write again. So, I have decided to buy a new one..now it is Sandisc 1Gb (because, it is not possible at present time to buy a 64Mb one)

Well, now I need firmware to load card. The original FW was EDR400 dated 14.10.2002 ver 1.5( a little bit old but very glad to me).

On the EverFocus site I can not find FW for this old model, only for 410 and so on...

Is somebody has this FW, also, can somebody to tell me is there some important things I should know to reload FW and start again DVR??

I have sime FWs (do not ask me from where and how I found them) but after unzip these files winZip found some mistakes and after I tried to write compact flash system can not boot it self, unfortunately

There not message ''LILO boot'' etc...system just is in silence, nothing's happen...

All device (in boot sequence) is presented, everything is fine, I think I need correct FW only.

Can somebody help me??

Thanks in advance and great regards from Serbia,

Milan

Perhaps, this story will end on this way...( I have contacted EverFocus support team) Answer as follow...

''Hello,

sorry but you can´t copy the Firmware to a CF Card. It is a special Process that only made by our Technical department. For a new Firmware, you have to contact your local Everfocus dealer, and buy a new CF Card included the Firmware. The EDR don´t support Cards bigger than 128 MByte. And if you have some, you can´t copy simply the Firmware on it.

I hope this helps.

Best regards
