Geovision Upgrade to Ver 8.3

I'm running geovision 8.2 on my PC and have recieved the new version 8.3 upgrade. Does anyone know if I can just install it over my old version? If so, will it keep my current settings?

I upgraded over v8.2 and all my settings were same after the install. Easy upgrade.

Do you notice and performance improvement with the 8.3 version? Bug fixes?

 

I somewhat of the "if it 'ain't broke don't fix it" mentality and and contemplating the upgrade.

geovision stores current configuration in the windows folder so even if you uninstall gv and reinstall the same or different version the configuration will still be there...even camera names.

 

if you don't plan on taking advantage of the 32 camera stacking then i would stay at 8.2 until some of the bugs get worked out
