nocturnal59 0 Posted February 22, 2009 60% Aluminum Braid - Solid Copper Center I got a bunch of 1000ft boxes of this stuff for free. It uses 22AWG Telephone cable for power. What would be the max distance you would run with this cable? or should i not even bother using it because it will wind up costing me more if i have to replace it because of signal loss. C7 in CA 0 Posted February 22, 2009 I have some cameras on 60+ feet of aluminum braid coax. It was existing cable runs so we gave it a shot. It's working! but I would have preferred to use 95% copper... As for the 22awg, That can be determined with a calculator. survtech 0 Posted February 22, 2009 I would limit it to runs of no longer than 100 feet.
