Geovision alerts from 2 cameras at the same time?

I have 2 cameras that monitor pretty much the same area, when I get motion in the area, I only hear 1 of the audio alerts for one of the cameras and I usually only get sent 1 email for one of the cameras. It's like only 1 camera will trigger the alerts but both cameras usually record at the same time... anybody know why this is?

 

the other thing I noticed is that I have the system set to start recording 6 seconds before motion is detected, but it doesn't seem that it has been doing that. Instead, my videos are starting to record when the motion is already happening, like if a car drives by, I don't see before the car gets there, I see as the car is already there, this is when the video starts recording... anybody know about this one?

besides this I find the GV system and software pretty good!

hi

look at your computer memory min 1gb needed

for prerecord need extra 512mb for 10s at 6fps

 

i set gv800 for 10s prerecord 6fps and 10s postrecord at 640x240 15fps and it works ok , problem i see at this time is that motion only trigger one camera and not a 2nd camera

like if system is not multitasking on prerecord motion trigger

so it looks like pre record have a problem if you need more than one camera record at a same time on motion trigger

at the moment it uses ~12gb per camera a month of motion trigger recording , on 3 cameras on 250gb hd
