shing 0 Posted February 8, 2005 Hi there, I am a total newbie on this PC CCTV things. Here is what I intend to do. I will hook up 16 cctv camera via RG6 cables with BNC termination. I want a PC based DVR. Here is where I get lost. Is a PC based DVR a video server as well? I would like to be able to view eg camera 1 via IE or Windows Media Player via url myhomecamera.com:6001, for camera 2 the url would be myhomecamera.com:6002 and so on and so forth. All i need is the DVR card to stream MJPEG for each camera that hooks on to the DVR card. I will then write my own custom aspx pages to view all the cameras. Can all the gurus out there, please advise me on what PC based DVR card to look at? thanks Shing[/u]

shing 0 Posted February 8, 2005 Yeah...that's what I want to achieve. What DVR/Video Server are you using? I basically need a card to stick all the cameras into it. Then get some software/hardware to stream those analog signals into MJPEG. Any one who can help? thanks shing
