Spillting Video Feeds

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have Video Feeds from two cameras, Could I use a A/V Splitter "Y" to split the feeds to go to two sources? One of these Feeds/Cameras has a RCA Male & One has a RCA Female

Thanks!

It is not good practice to passively "split" a video signal. The result will be dark and probably exhibit severe ghosting. Use video distribution amplifier(s).

I'm curious; Are "loop out" connections on the back of DVR's always amp'd? sometimes amp'd, rarely amp'd, never amp'd?

THe only ones I have seen have all been non-amplified, simply looped the input signal straight back out......

But I have not used that many DVRS.

Never had a problem with splitting the signal by looping out on the back of a multiplexer or dvr - but all have been fairly short cables....
