Splitting 4 channel USB feed

Recommended Posts

Hi all

New to this forum and need some help/advice please.

I have purchased an EasyCap USB 4 channel device, which works absolutely fine, very impressed.

However, I have a slight issue with the feeds. The device comes with some software called "Multiviewer", which is OK but not very, shall I say, "advanced". I would like to use some software like i-Catcher, however this recognises the entire device as one feed, and not split into 4, with one for each camera.

So my question is, A) is there any way of splitting the input to show as four seperate devices, or alternatively B) is there any better software out there that will split the USB into four feeds? Or C) have I wasted my money on the EasyCap and need something else?

As far as I know you can only record one channel, ch2. You could get 4 of the 1channel easycap devices. Alternatively you can download software that records whatever is on your screen like they use for making video tutorials.
