AV760 network backup limited to 500mb

Recommended Posts

Ok someone help me with this its driving me nuts, i've searched around but cant find a good answer to this.

I have an AV760 dvr, i would like to extract 4 hours of video from two channels (independently). While using the video server e program i can choose a start time but not an end time and if i change the file size to be bigger than 500mb it changes it back to 500mb. If i use the video viewer program (.99 "recommended" from scorpion's site) then i can select an end time for backup but it still stops exporting at 500mb or around one hour of video.

How can i get 4 hours worth of video exported from a single channel without having to do 4 separate exports for each channel?

Is there any other software / firmware that i should be using?

Is this even possible?

Thanks in advance for the help,

Ok so i've got another question.

Why would one hour's worth of backedup .avc video from one channel/camera be smaller than the same from another channel/camera?

One hour from one channel is ~425mb, from another its ~230mb

I would think the dvr records in the same resolution/format for all channels, is this not true?

The video seems to be fine from both channels and contains the times selected just wondering why it would be different.

Thanks again

Are you set to record on motion? A busier camera would record more frames then a not so busy camera.

No, both cameras/channels are recording 24/7.

The 760 records in mjpeg format when doing D1. Jpeg files are compressed, and different images will compress better than others.
