tosul 0 Posted March 28, 2009 Looking at the Nuuo Hybrid system for a school. Original configuration would probably be for 32 cameras, 24 analog & 8 IP, what specs should we be looking at for the server? Customer will be moving from a Nuvico DV3, would apprciate any feedback regarding Nuuo. Thanks Tom
gsscctv 0 Posted March 30, 2009 (edited) I would recommend a pentium dual core (or quad) with 2GB memory at least and a high end graphics card (nVIDIA or ATI). For the NUUO use SCB5016 plus SCB5008 analog cards (16+8=24) with 8 license IP+ key. Also use Windows XP Pro and a decent Motherboard. basia 0 Posted March 30, 2009 What should I do if I need to see more than 1 monitor? Thank you.
gsscctv 0 Posted March 30, 2009 Post: #1 | NUUO Triple Monitor Setup Use a video card that has 2 outputs i.e VGA & DVI, set it up on Windows Display properties and NUUO main console. It is also possible to setup 3 display monitors on a NUUO DVR server. 2 monitors for Live View and 1 for the PlayBack. NUUO says "Install 2 Video cards of the exact same brand & model". However, H.264 capture card videos can only be displayed on the Primary Monitor.
yclin_nuuo 0 Posted April 8, 2009 Hi all, I suppose the video format of DVR and NVR are all h.264. The resolution is set to CIF; frame rate to 30 fps. And you need to record 24 hours a day, 7 days in total. The minimum PC spec for the system is Total Size (GB, gigabytes): 449.9 GB Minimum bandwidth (Mbps, megabits per second): 12.19 Mbps Minimum CPU requirement: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Minimum RAM requirement : 2GB As to the choice of DVR cards, I recommend you install 3 x 5008 cards or 1 x 5016 + 1 x 5008. And an IP+08 dongle for your IP cameras. You may find the spec of 5000 here: http://support.nuuo.com/mediawiki/index.php/5000 NUUO support multiple monitors. Please see these two links for details: http://support.nuuo.com/mediawiki/index.php/Triple_monitor http://support.nuuo.com/mediawiki/index.php/Dual_monitor The above is just a rough answer. Please feel free to contact me anytime when you need to know further. Thanks! Yung-chung Lin
ChrisP 0 Posted April 22, 2009 I just set up a 32 camera ip version of the NUUO software. I would definitely suggest going with a strong Dual Core Quad or intel i7. That is one place where you cannot be cheap. Put the OS on drive C. Use drive e,f and G for storage. You should also use a Seagate perpendicular drive for storage. They are designed for hi level input output.
