Dedicated Micros New DS2

Does anybody know how to reset the password and replace the hard drive on on the new Dedicated Micros DS2 DVR's.

Any help would be much appreciated.

if it is the latest DS2 NOT the one with all silver front all you have to do is change drives... as for the passwords there are ways to telnet in and fix if all the passwords are not reset good luck.

The unit I have is a DS2. It has a silver front but has a black section in the middle with the silver camera buttons on and a cd/dvd writer under the lower flap.

I cannot access the unit as it is password protected. Please could you help on this one.

I have hyper terminal on my laptop. How do I reset the password?

do you know if the ftp passwords have been changed from default.. they usually are not changed. If not changed it is very easy to ftp into the dvr. use cmd prompt ftp into the dvr goto the folder etc and del the user.db file this will default all the passwords for the dvr power cycle the dvr good to go
