bluechev4x4 0 Posted May 8, 2009 if it is the latest DS2 NOT the one with all silver front all you have to do is change drives... as for the passwords there are ways to telnet in and fix if all the passwords are not reset good luck. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
cctv gear 0 Posted May 14, 2009 Many thanks for your reply, it is most appreciated. The unit I have is a DS2. It has a silver front but has a black section in the middle with the silver camera buttons on and a cd/dvd writer under the lower flap. I cannot access the unit as it is password protected. bluechev4x4 0 Posted May 18, 2009 do you know if the ftp passwords have been changed from default.. they usually are not changed. If not changed it is very easy to ftp into the dvr. use cmd prompt ftp into the dvr goto the folder etc and del the user.db file this will default all the passwords for the dvr power cycle the dvr good to go Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
