scorpion 0 Posted April 10, 2009 If tech support can see your cameras then there is nothing wrong. When you get to the "house" is this the same place where your cameras are located? Are the cameras located somewhere else, and you are trying to remote in to them from the "house"? If the cameras are else where, and you are remoting in then you may have an active X issue. Using Micro Soft browser log in to the DVR, and see if you can see video. If you cannot then go to (XP) tools > internet options > Genral Tab. Delete Temporary Internet Files. Open a new browser, and log in to the DVR. You should get an Active X request to load. Allow it to RUN. This should fix your viewing problems. If this does not then you will need to hire someone local who can look at your situation, and troubleshoot for you.
sviviani 0 Posted April 10, 2009 scorpion is right about the active x, but if that is not it, make sure the ip is in your trusted sites in internet security settings, I had problems like that before.
RickA 0 Posted April 10, 2009 I see no mention of the operating system from home, if you have vista or xp at home you need to allow active x contorls for the dvr, especially with vista.
ranger844 0 Posted April 10, 2009 operating systems at home i have are xp-pro vista on the laptop debian etch linux /w gnome display manager and firefox (primary) the dvr is on xp media center edition at one location and xp-pro all connections are dsl
sviviani 0 Posted April 10, 2009 did you set them to allow active x yet? what happened?
RickA 0 Posted April 10, 2009 Linux with firefox will not connect unless you use wine with explorer, it sounds like you need to enable active X controls on your home computer to connect and view images.
