Scruit 0 Posted April 11, 2009 I'm trying to find out the time/date of the earliest recorded video, but I can't find a way to do that easily. The event list and record list only shows the events from newest to oldest and it looks like I have to page down approximately 300 times to get there (each page appears to only show the events from a time period of a few seconds, and I can't re-sort the list to oldest first) Any suggestions? DaveM 0 Posted April 11, 2009 I don't have that exact model, but see if you can just list out system events from the log. The last system event should give you a ballpark idea of when the log ends and you can then search date/time for that range.

Each page has about 20 events covering a couple of minutes. Can't sort oldest-first.
DaveM 0 Posted April 11, 2009 I pulled the 507 manual off the web, and it doesn't look like you can just search the log for "system" events like the 562 does. The system events would show system errors, as well as what I was told was a housekeeping event every day or two. That let me get an idea where the log ended, and where the last recorded video was within a day or so. Sorry that won't work for your DVR.
Scruit 0 Posted April 11, 2009 It takes me about ten minutes to figure out how much video I have recorded - I just have to search back 10 days and see if there's video, Then 11, then 12, then 13. Etc. It's a pain.
