Solarfall 0 Posted April 21, 2009 HI, I have a really annoying problem with our AVTECH AVC776W Digital Video Recorder.I would like to watch the live feed through the Video Web Server software, but it's working only in LAN,i can't watch it from home.Everything was set up correctly. After that the lan was crashed also.I made a hardware reset, the LAN came back, but i can't see it via internet. What could be wrong? I'm a technician and our customer is nervous a bit... I would thank for any help.
scorpion 0 Posted April 22, 2009 I do not know what equipment you did the hardware reset on. I will assume that you did a hardware reset on the router. Am I right? If yes. Go to the menu of the DVR for networking, and see what port number it is using. (If it is using port 80 then lets change it to 75). What is the ip address of the DVR? 192.168.0.25 ?? What ever number you have write that down. Go to the computer where you can see the video on the local lan. Do an ipconfig, and write down those numbers. The gateway is the local lan address to get "inside" of your router. Go to 192.168.0.1 (or what ever your number is). You need to look for port forward, or gaming, and applications. You need to put in the DVRs lan address, and the port number it is using. I know you know how to do all of this, but I wrote it in detail for those reading this post that do not know how. Now test the remote video with your laptop with an air card, or go somewhere else, and log in. Does it work?? If not let me know. If it does let me know! Solarfall 0 Posted April 23, 2009 Thank you scorpion, but the problem was solved.Something is wrong with the customers ISP.Everything is working fine with other ISP.By the way...the isp gave them a new router and it ruined everything...so they have to have a friendly talk with their provider
