richard_h 0 Posted April 26, 2009 Do you use your SD slot on the mobotix camera and what extra functions can it be used for? I have a D22M-SEC and its has anSD card slot I was setting it up and while putting up the camera i would put a SD card in saves time going back up the ladder. what can i use this for as i can't see much except the recording option but i save to a PC already and can only select one... Twilo123 0 Posted April 29, 2009 mobotix just loaned me a q22 for testing and i am running into the same thing. from what i understand is that it can provide a local storage method in case the camera drops offline for some reason. it also allows for a decentralized method of recording which theoretically would allow for less bandwidth being used as you would only pull video as needed over the network as opposed to constantly streaming it to non local storage.
