valerius 0 Posted May 1, 2009 Does anyone use SATA to IDE adapter on AVC760? IDE drives become obsolete so I would like to use SATA on that DVR. Or maybe I should change the DVR?
scorpion 0 Posted May 1, 2009 I can still get IDE drives but they are more expensive compared to SATA. I have never tried the converter, but others have on different DVRS. I would say give it a try if you have the experience, and the knowledge!
dvrtiger 0 Posted May 2, 2009 Yes, you can use it, but you will probably have to try several different models of the adapter. Some models work, and some won't, even adapters of the same model sometimes are quite 'moody'. Cheep Chinese s... won't work for sure! I'll have to check which model we use with best results in our service shop and I'll post it on Monday.
