GeoVision problems viewing over internet. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Recommended Posts

I am not good at networking!

I had a GV600 and use Multicam Remote View System to view my office from home and had no problems. It took me a week to set it up to be able to view from home.

Now I upgraded to a GV800 with Version 8.3 and I cannot set it to view from home.

I deleted everything and started from scratch.

The only thing I have done now is installed GV800 and now have my cameras recording.

I have a Netopia 3347-02 dsl/wireless router

I'm sure I need to do some port fowarding and I need to know what program do I need to install on the computer that I am trying

to view from. The install disc for Ver 8.3 has 25 different programs.

Do I Run DNS?

Please cold someone walk me through this process?

THANKS

I can now view it from any of the 6 computers at my office but I still cannot view it from home. It lets me log into the server but it shows connecting to server on the camera screens and then goes to stop.

Please help!!

i now have version 8.3.1 installed. I can use DMMultiview to access and view the cameras from the other computers in my office (I have 6 computers on a network in the office). When I log in from my computer at home, it logs in sucessfully and on the screen it says "connecting to server" on each of the camera boxes. Then it says stop and it never shows video. Please help. THANKS

Hi,

It sounds like not all the correct ports are open (80, 4550 and 5550).

Please contact our technical support's live chat at www.usavisionsys.com and click on the link for live chat support on the left side where a technician will be able to assist you. Thanks!
