HeliSteveNZ 0 Posted May 24, 2009 Hi, I have been given a camera that I cannot find any info on the internet. Attached are photos of it. Can anyone give me specs on this camera, especially the pin layout and voltage required. Cheers.
Squiffy 0 Posted May 24, 2009 It may not be the same company, but you might enquire at: http://www.nightvisionsystems.com/ (they were NVEC) to see if they can help. Clearly it's a 12v camera but to ascertain the connections in the absence of more info, remove the cover and see if you can trace the wiring from the 9-way D connector inside. The power connections should be quite obvious.
HeliSteveNZ 0 Posted July 5, 2009 I emailed NVS a couple of times with no reply. This company used to be NVEC so should have records on it. Opening the cover reveals a jam packed device with the circuit board with the 9 pin connector connected not allowing an easy view without major surgery. I will pursue NVS but would be nice if anyone out there can identify this camera for me.

My guess is it came out of an early 90s era video conference terminal that the US government and military used. I have a similar no-name 12V camera that I salvaged from a terminal years back. Basically it is crap and not worth playing with unless you are bored. This will give the same resolution as a $19 board camera.
