Which PC monitor is better to use with stand alone Hikvision

I have a DVR stand alone Hikvision. I´d like to know why when I connect a CRT monitor the image seems to better than when I use a LCD monitor.

 

The LCD is working in the native resolution, and I set the same resolution in the DVR.

 

LCD monitor

 

1280x1024 DVR resolution

1280x1024 LCD monitor native resolution

Image: not so good

 

CRT monitor

 

1280x1024 DVR resolution

1280x1024 CRT monitor resolution

Is it a VGA output?

 

IIRC, CRT's are always going to have a better image using the VGA connector.
