thewireguys 3 Posted July 28, 2009 Night image is very important...night time is when my jack-ass neighbor comes out. Are you happy with the 1231 image at night?
Sawbones 0 Posted July 29, 2009 Yes.....I'm looking to get good facial recongnition so I can hand the pics over to the police. OK.... how impotent is the night time image to you? I can recommend the ACTi ACM-7411 for you price range. The 7411 is the same camera as the 1231 but it is in a vandal dome and it doesn't have the built in IR For more money you good go with Areconts dome cameras. I you like to opportunity to earn your business if you decide to order the cameras. I have 3 new 7411's I need to move. Send me a PM with what a rough price you'd like to get for one of those 7411's, TWG. I've been looking into getting one of those, and I'd rather buy from somebody I know that some anonymous guy on Ebay.
vito 0 Posted July 29, 2009 Its decent......but this my first attempt installing and playing around with any kind of security cams, software and nvr.....so I'm a total newbie. However it would be nice to get a little better facial recognition from around thirty feet from the cam. My backround is in industrial electronics mostly factory automation CNC with an emphasis on servo and spindle drives. I currently head up all repairs in my companys robotic department. So I have a backround in software and hardware.
thewireguys 3 Posted July 29, 2009 (edited) I can give you support...... I use teamviewer. The ACT 4711 will work for you. If the image isn't as good as you would like at night then you would have to add more light and you could use white or IR light. I could hook you up with a 4 channel NUUO miniNVR with up to 4 Acti cameras and you will have a simple easy to use megapixel camera system. vito 0 Posted July 29, 2009 I'm using a Nuuo 2040.....but it seems like alot of people are using pc based programs
thewireguys 3 Posted July 29, 2009 Depends what you need the system to do. The Mini will do anything a pc system can do for less money. Your limitation with the Mini is the number of camera per server. But that can be over come with their CMS software. The Mini is a great solution for small megapixel systems.
