My DVR stopped working Please Help!

Recommended Posts

I have the older 16ch DVR for about 5 years now. It has been great. The other day It stopped working. Unit wouldn't even power on. Checked the Power Adapter with a voltmeter and I was getting no readings. So kinda hoping this is the case that the power adapter just took a crap. I was looking online where I can get these but I am having the worst luck finding it. I even have the model number of the power adapter but still can't find it.

So came across this forum searching google and thought maybe I can have better luck from you guys. Thanks.

I have uploaded some pictures (taken with my phone) to my website because I cannot post pictures or links to this forum yet of the DVR & Power Adapter which is made by High Power model number is HPA-601250U3 C0-A42 The connector to the DVR has 6 little pins and a plastic vertical slot inside the plug almost looks like a SVideo plug.

The website is zacharen it's the last pictures in the motors album thanks. I know it's a pain to help someone out when there are not direct links but bare with me as I am not allowed to post pictures/links untill 5 days. thanks again.

With a little more phone calls I found out CCTV imports no longer carries those ac adapters. They do have some plug adapters they should have in within a week or so that will connect a 2.5mm plug to the svideo type that will cost about 5$ and just use a regular ac adapter w/ a 2.5 plug. So I will be waiting for CCTV Imports to get those in. Thanks anyways.
