IRCCTV 0 Posted February 14, 2010 If you are looking for imaging at long ranges I would suggest Ascendent Technology Group Here is a comparison of Bosch (Extreme CCTV) GVS1000 and Ascendents Simga GVS-1000 25-1500mm lens (with 2X) 1.2 km max using 4 IR illuminators (ZX700 only 2000 hours ) Expensive to operate 1/2 CCD Pan Range ± 215º Tilt Range ± 90º Pan Speed 0.3º to 8º per second Tilt Speed 0.1º to 4.5º per second Repeatability 0.25º Ascendent Sigma Series If you need a PDF send me a PM 25-1500mm lens (with 2X) optional 20-2000mm with 2x IR corrected 3,3 km max using 1 laser illuminator (ASC-3000LIR MTFB 10,000 hours ) 500% longer life time 1/2 CCD Drive Unit Integral pan / tilt brushless motor drive micro step, pan and tilt Pan angle and speed 360° continuous pan | Variable speed: up to 90º Tilt angle and speed up to 75° | Variable speed: 0.1º to 90º per second Speed Control Closed loop electronics Preset Accuracy Better than 0.1° Proportional P/T to Zoom position Yes: Automatically adjusts speed with zoom for accurate pan tilt zoom Ascedent also has a Terra series which can see up to 8km at night using 2 lase active IR illumiantors. Ascendent offers complete customization so if you are interested in this camera for just day time I would suggest asking them to build you one with a 1/3 CCD rather then a 1/2 and and ask them to not include the illumiantors that will give you longer range using the same lens. They can also integrate video analytics for automatic tracking and build a system using FLIR or cantronics thermal imagers. http://www.ascendentgroup.com/ http://www.ascendentgroup.com/
