You probably need to download Video Server E. In the bundle of software is the "viewer" that allows you to watch these files.

The software will allow you to convert it to AVI.

scroll down below Video Viewer.

If it was just purchased then this may be an updated DVR, and it may use the Video Viewer instead. Load Video Server E first. If that does not work then download Video Viewer.

yes. I need to convert the audio even more than the video. Is there a solution to convert the video and the audio to seperate files? or to convert both to one file? Thanks!

the suggested solution does not work in my case- I have the video-audio file on a disk-on-key. The file is in 787 format. the video player (in video server E ) convert it to vse file. However, I need to play the audio on a generic player (such as windows media player). My only option in the video player is to convet it avi which keeps only the video.

Is there a way to convert the audio to other format (either the audio or the video and audio together)?

You have me stumped on this one.

When used for evidence it would stay in the proprietary state, and if uploaded to YouTube then you would use the monitor out.

There are those who use the plexor device for uploading video directly to AVI.

I do not know how you would accomplish your task in all honesty.

The worse way I can think of is to take a hand held video camera and record the monitor screen with the speaker play loud enough for the hand help to pick up the audio.
