MCSH 0 Posted June 1, 2009 SHR-2162P Getting the message "Clock battery has failed". Replaced coin cell, restart gives me a BatteryInfo window in which I can alter date/time, I do so, DVR constantly restarts.......... Any idea ? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
khye 0 Posted June 1, 2009 You may need to format the HDD after the battery has been replaced since the timestamps on any stored video will now be out of sync. You are not going to get much help from a local shop, unless you can find real electronic hobbyist to locate the chip (next to the battery), and replace it. If it is under warranty then you need to take it back. If it is out of warranty then see if you can find a damaged model on Ebay for the parts.
