Bosch IP Camera - Divar DVR - Direct JPEG and MJPEG Viewing

Recommended Posts

OK, I know the Axis cameras and servers can provide their JPEG or MJPEG stream based on standardized address to other devices (in our case Crestron touch panels). Panasonic also supports this from their IP cameras, and in reading Arecont's manuals, they do as well.

I read the Bosch manual and could not determine if you could directly access Camera4 for instance from thei Divar DVRs via an address. Similary if I cannot access it straight from the DVR, can it be accessed from a Bosch IP camera directly?

Regards,

Andy (CCNA, MCSE, Crestron)

Andy, the answer yes and yes...

Divar series DVRs are mainly hybrid and give you both analog and IP connectivity... If I recall it correctly, there should be (15) different models in this series...

Very easy systems to setup and to operate... and the integration to Bosch IP is flawless...

Any other questions, let me know.

Bosch IP cameras and encoders have a MJPEG stream.

You can reach it from web browser ( IPADDRESS/snap.jpg )

the snap is a jpg snapshot url; not really mjpeg. you will have to simulate the motion part via some kind of refresh method in whatever unit you are integrating it with.

Hi

>> You can reach it from web browser ( IPADDRESS/snap.jpg )

I know that I can get the snapshot of the camera image using the above command. It works fine as well.

Is there any command (either through the browser or a web-service call) that will help us in knowing whether the camera is in its default position? That is, if the camera has been panned or zoomed, would we able to determine if such a thing has happened?

Thanks,

Sridhar
