todd2 0 Posted July 24, 2009 I'm looking for a pocket-size DVR that is small enough to fit under the seat of a car with no ventilation, and records to an sd card rather than a hard drive. I need at least 2 channels, motion detection, and preferably > 400 lines of resolution. I will be running it off 12vdc. (Also, I'm not going to pay $900 for it. I did find one unit that fit the bill (for < $200), except that it only recorded at 320*240 resolution. Not sure that will be good enough for facial identification. Will be installed in car. Jamac 0 Posted July 28, 2009 Hi - have not used many of these but I've supplied a few clients with the Avermedia EB1304MOB dvrs with the image stabilisation software and have not had any complaints. Units are quite small but record to HD - cost in the UK is around £300, not sure about the states.
Jamac 0 Posted July 28, 2009 Sorry - should have added - no pocket size but easily fits under seating.
dopalgangr 1 Posted July 30, 2009 This is only 1 channel but its cheap enough that you could get 2 of them http://www.scdlink.com/files/specs/MPE1023BD.pdf Or I would go with the Avermedia one that jamac suggested http://tinyurl.com/l9exlk
