Sandbuster14 0 Posted July 25, 2009 Just installed a 3 camera (BIPRO-EC550VF outdoor IR CCTV) system with NUUO-SCB-5004 with 4 channel DVR card. James (CCTV Camera Pros) helped me with updating the drivers. All was pretty good for a while but then I had to do a re-boot while working on my internet lan connection - next time I brought up the control console I got an error message that the database template could not be found and to resinstall the NUUO software. So I did that (several times) but continue to get the error message along with the initial message that calls for driver updates. If this is going to be an ongoing issue I'll likely return the product for something more reliable. Any ideas here? Thanks
Eddiekr03 0 Posted July 28, 2009 I am not an expert on Nuuo but it sounds like more of a PC problem then the card itself. I would recommend calling James again and have him walk you through updating the Drivers again, because when you reinstalled the software you may have overwritten the new drivers back to the old ones, causing you to have the error message again. This may fix your problem with the errors, but also not sure how you installed it but Nuuo cards require you to install the software and drivers before you install the card or you will usually have these problems. Thanks for your response. Last night, through "Teamviewer", James tried his best to resolve the problem. Then he got an outfit in California to go into my PC and try to work out the fault - no joy. Then the "ones & zeros" guys in Taiwan last night (late) went through my system and they too were unsuccessful. After reading your response I immediately un-installed the software plus went into the registry and deleted all it's fingertips then shut the unit down and removed the card. Rebooted PC twice then re-installed software (for 20th time), again re-booted twice, shut down and re-installed the card. Fired back up and experienced same issue. I've asked James to consider a replacement card & software as I am getting a little tired of screwing around with this thing. I may not have much of a life but I'm sure I can figure out better things to do than spend another 20 hours fussing with this software. FYI - I originally had Vista OS but the Nuuo card was not compatible so I changed to XP Pro which I've been wanting to do anyway - just needed incentive.
