Choose me a CCTV Camera please

Recommended Posts

Hi all

Im a total noobie at getting cctv and i need one for the following spec but its hard trying to find one, so can you help?

Heres my requirements

Wide angle ( maybe 3.6mm lens or wider if possible? )

Colour OR black/white with infared to about 12-12 metres atleast

Sound

Connected to VCR with scart or similar and has to be WIRED.

FYI,My friend has a wired one which is like this:

Plug into wall-socket >> wire leads into scart plug >>> one wire from scart plug goes to cctv camera which powers it and receives the picture.

I would like a similar wiring to that.

Cheers and I hope this isnt too much to ask for.

I want the cheapest as possible! I really cant afford anything over £120. Though if you see some a tad over, just let me know anyway

Hello, I am not sure whether you mean the cable can transmit power as well as video, it is my pleasure to share my ideas!

And how many cameras do you need? the DVR should be compatible to the number cameras.

A complete security surveillance system always included a DVR, cameras, cables, power box and a monitor.

DVR:

1. H.264 ensure real time;

2. Display/record frame rate should reach 30fps per channel;

3. Remote access is a must;

4. Comeing with 1 TB HDD will be better.

Cameras:

1. 3.6mm lens camera is just a basic one, there are higher quality image ones , such as vari-focal 4mm-9mm, 12mm, the longer the lens is, the further you can look;

2. It can be classified as indoor cameras and outdoors, dome is often for indoor use, and bullet is always for outdoor use

3. High resolution can ensure you the amazing picture, 540TV line is pretty good

Hope I can be a help, if you need any other help, please let me know!
