sam.sharief 0 Posted August 9, 2009 Hi, I have assembled several 16-channel DVR systems, each assembly comprising a single HP ML150 G5 server and 4 video compression cards manudactured by Hikvision (model DS-4008HCI), these are recording at a 4CIF resolution. The operating System is Win 2003R2. Some of the DVRs intermittently freeze over, where the monitor screen goes blue and an error message as follows: Error Message Hardware Malfunction Call your Hardware Vendor For Support NMI: Parity Check/Memory Parity Error ***The System Has Halted*** I cannot figure out why this is happening, the freeze happens so randomly, even if I try inserting the cards in different PCs ? Has anyone encounterd a problem as such ? Any advice would be great.
shoreviewsecurity 0 Posted August 10, 2009 There is a member on this forum who has had experience with these cards. He goes under the name of dopalgangr. Maybe you could reach out to him and see if he can assist.
dopalgangr 1 Posted August 11, 2009 I had similar problems with this exact card. They are very particular with the type of video chipset that the pc uses. What motherboard are you using? In my case I had a Giga-byte brand of motherboard, the mobo came with software (which most of them do) for overclocking, monitoring, etc. It was this software that was causing the issue. If you have any software that came with the pc that is motherboard related, try installing it and see if that fixes the issue. Also, what software are you using with the card? There are alot of different types out there that work with these cards.
william_netvisiondvr 0 Posted September 22, 2009 According to what you said, there are some points you should check: 1.Whether your software is a pirate version; 2.Is there virus in your computer; 3.Whether there is a compatibility problem. For Hikvision cards, the following are recommended: OS: Windows 2000(SP4), Windows XP (SP2), Windows Server 2003 CPU: Intel Series, Pentium III 500MHz or above Motherboard: based on Intel 845/865/915/925/945 Chipset Memory:256MB or above Display adaptor: Standard VGA, 32 bit true color mode Video Card:ATI Radeon 7000/ 7200/ 7500/ 8500/ 9000/ 9200 / 9500/ 9600 Series, ATI X300/ X700 series Intel 845/865/915 integrated Extreme Graphics MatroxG450/550/P750 Gigabit: GA-865GME, GA-945PL-G etc If any problems, please contact me. Or if you can't find suitable software, I can offer one to have a test.
