cglaeser 0 Posted August 20, 2009 I've seen two types of form factors for the Arecont AV3130 on the web. Some are short and some are much longer (in the direction of the lens). Was there a change to the camera dimensions without a change in the model number? Best, Christopher
thewireguys 3 Posted August 20, 2009 (edited) The bigger version is the old model. Also Arecont OEMs for CBC and Bosch so they have different form factors. Current Arecont 3130 Bosch OEM CBC/Ganz OEM Edited August 20, 2009 by Guest
skane 0 Posted August 20, 2009 Current AV3130 has "short" casing, as pictured on Arecont's site. As far as I know, the model number never changed.

cglaeser 0 Posted August 20, 2009 same camera smaller housing Do both designs fit in the same dome enclosures? What about the connections on the back. Did those change as well? Best, Christopher

Best, Christopher Everything is the same excpt for the size (faster smaller processor) and no the old model will not fit in a dome housing.
cglaeser 0 Posted August 20, 2009 no the old model will not fit in a dome housing. Yet the same model number. Really makes you wonder about some of these companies. I talked to Axis today about the lux rating of their new cameras, and tech support said they have a new policy for the lux values in data sheets. The old policy was to use the slowest possible shutter speed. So, for example, the 0.2 lux of the 223M is for 2 s, which converts to 20 lux for a more reasonable 1/50 s. The new policy is to use the default shutter speed. Unfortunately, the default shutter speeds are not listed in the data sheet. They opened a support ticket to determine the lux rating (with associated shutter speed) for the new P3344 and Q6032. Will post the information when I get it.
