System to monitoring house during fumigation (this Monday)

Recommended Posts

Normally, I would do a bit of searching before asking a question on a forum, but due to our time frame and the fact that I know nothing about this topic I've decided to ask . We are having our house fumigated this Monday (the big tents used for termites) and we would like to have cameras in place to monitor the workers while they setup. Our main goal is to make sure nothing is broken or damaged, but it would also be great to monitor the house while it's in the fumigation stage (empty).

So far, I've looked at the Logitech WiLife system as I can use an existing computer to record and I think they would be easy to resell if we decide not to keep them. Unfortunately, I'm not sure about the price nor the quality of the cameras. I've looked at some CCTV cameras/systems at Fry's electronics, but there were so many choices. I realize we will spend more money in the store versus online, but that looks like our only option due to our time frame (out of our control ).

At a minimum we would like to have two cameras, but depending on the price would really like to have closer to six. Due to the short notice, we can't really spend more than $1000 on this. They will all be indoor and since this won't be permanent, need to be wireless (either their own system or over our existing wireless g/n network). I'm not sure if we will be able to leave any lights on, so can't comment about night vision. Lastly, I would like to be able to view the live video over the internet. Thank you for your help and time.

Hello, I have send some recommendations for your references with the PM, those systems are below $1000 and with many comprehensive fetures, please have a check.

Hope it helps. Any help needed, please let me know.

Suky,

Thanks for the response. I did some research and found some items at Frys that looked like they would work. We've decided to take our chances and pass on the cameras. Hopefully the workers are careful. Thanks again for your help.
