guybrush 0 Posted August 26, 2009 Hi I've installed a number of DVR system in the past for clients; Avermedia 1304 Avermedia 1504NET Avtech 715 What I generally find is that although the cameras are great the image quality.. Well not as sharp. This time I'm installing for my shop. Its a local liquor shop. My requirements are for 12 cameras with great image shot. I export on average one footage a quarter to the police for shop lifting and etc. I'm going for a standalone as it is easier to troubleshoot for problems. If its broken, replace it. Would the following sets of specs cover my needs? 1. D1 Recording (704x576) 2. Recording can be as low as 7 to 12FPS as I'm only after a clean shot. 3. 2 Sata slot ( 2X2TB ). Will keep up to 1 month worth 4. H.264 5. I'll be using a combination of Standard and Infrared Cameras Do you think 1X HW-SVR7116V or 3X HSD-400 (I cant get the 800 as it's not available here) Will do the job? or would you recommend something better. Many Thanks!
suky 0 Posted August 27, 2009 Hello, I would like to be help. I suggest you to choose a 16ch cctv H.264 DVR and 12 cameras under your requirement. The DVR with 1TB HDD can record for a month at a low frame rate of 7 as you said. Any help needed, please let me know.
sd2 0 Posted September 5, 2009 Your on the right track with those spec's, D1 recording, H.264 codec. 2 TB's are more than enough as you know of an incident within 24 hours of occurrence.
